LET’S DO TOGETHER

This time I was really confused what should be my topic of writing. I was thinking about several subjects and trying to select one of them. In the morning of 15th August, like all of us, I was very happy and enjoying our Independence Day. The day is very emotional also for us, as we feel love and pride for our country. Suddenly a point struck in my mind. What about other days of the year? Do we feel the same love for our country?

I feel that, most of us like to criticize our nation for its various problems and drawbacks throughout the year. We just put examples of other countries and compare with them. The youth which is our future also do the same thing. They think that there is not much opportunity to build their career in our country. Most of them want to move abroad to fulfill their dreams.

Yes, we have many problems; we are lagging behind than other developed countries. Numerous people do not get proper food, drinking water, education and medical treatment. But, criticism is not the solution for all these problems. It is nearly impossible for Government to develop our country without any assistance from our countrymen. We can solve our basic problems without keeping all the duties and responsibilities for the Government. We should understand that they have some limitations which we can fulfill. The basic reason behind all problems is that we just divide ourself in several ways, which is really pathetic. Present population of India is over 1.22 billion. Amongst which the male ratio is 628.8 million and female is 591.4 million. 50% of Indian’s current population is between 0-25 years. First of all we have to break the barriers of sex, caste and religion. It has been proven during the freedom fight that women can also play a vital role for our country. Recent example is London Olympic 2012, where India won 6 medals among which 2 were won by Saina Nehwal and Mary Kom respectively. So, we should not ignore 591.4 million of women. They are also a part of our nation’s strength. As we want to move forward we cannot segregate people just for religion or caste. Even we should not separate ourself as Tamil, Gujarati, Rajasthani, Bengali, Bihari and all. We should identify ourself as Indian and should be proud to be an Indian.

India’s main strength is youth and human resource. We have young talented and skilled people at every level of work and we are far ahead from other developing countries. When we see dust and insects in our house, we just clean-it without moving to neighbours. Similarly, our youth should understand that we have problems and different scarcities, but if they contribute themselves, they can solve those deficiencies.

If we do our daily duties honestly and responsibly then there can be positive results. If doctors provide treatment without thinking about extra income, if police do their duties according to the laws and without any partiality, if teachers educate children instead of selling it, if simple Government clerks do their job without making stack of pending files, there can be a huge development in the current situation.

We cannot ignore any single person of our country. To make our country progressive every contribution is important. We have to be united and have to work together seriously to achieve the same. Individually we are small stones. If we club together we can build a long road to reach to the top where we can hoist our tri-colour flag of India.
