Success is not something one is born with, rather it is something one has to strive for, proven by Prachi Mahadik class VII student from Satara, Maharshtra who developed the fascinating machine “ Self operating Plastic Bottle recycle Machine ” one of the working model displayed under " Swach Bharat " Mission exhibits. Machine cuts the plastic bottles and converts them in plastic threads, can be reused for making brooms duster etc. With the amount of untreated plastic waste growing at an alarming rate, it is a commendable effort indeed to reuse plastic wastes   “I applied my creative design and artistic skills to transform the overlooked plastic pet bottles into other beautiful products. I would like to think that my designs can be reuse from wastes! ” She said.

When teenagers around him were busy reading fantasy fiction, Akash Manoj was busy reading medical literature that would help him to develop a device to detect ‘silent heart attacks’. HE earned international acclaim for developing a technique for self diagnosis of a silent heart attack — a small silicon patch stuck to your wrist or back of your ear which can be used to monitor whether there has been a heart attack. Kulsoom Rizavi Grassroots student awardee Kulsoom Rizavi of Lucknow gave entire credit of this huge feat to her mother who inspired her to invent the ... “ posture correcting chair ” and encouraged her to participate in IGNITE-2013 .Kulsoom said when she was in class 5, first got the idea., She is recipient of IGNITE-2013 award at class V from former president of India late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam for her innovation. To escape elder’s scolding for not sitting in right postures, Kulsoom along with fellow awardees Tarun Anand of Ghaziabad and Sunvi Agarwal of Chandigarh have independently conceived the idea of “posture correcting chair”. A chair with Bio-sensors which will alert those sitting in wrong posture to be corrected to the proper form by beeping and vibrating until one sits properly.
